Tiger's Eye - 108 Prayer Mala Beads
Like the eye of a tiger, these yellow-gold beads appear to hold untold stories and potential energy. The 108 round beads are carved and polished tiger eye crystal. The corresponding mantra as well as the significance of the mala are provided on an attractive insert.
Corresponding mantra: Om Sri Durgayai Nama.
Corresponding Deity: Goddess Durga is supremely radiant and rides a lion. In her eight arms she carries various weapons, such as Lord Shiva’s trident and Lord Vishnu’s disc, as well as the lotus flower, which together symbolize the unity of all divine forces. Durga manifests when the existence of the gods is threatened. Self-sufficient, she is the goddess of the divine feminine power known as Shakti.
This natural mala is sought for its capability to carry certain energies and as an item on which a spiritual practice called “japa” is done. Tiger eye crystal is ideally suited to the mantra to Mother Durga, the invincible form of the Divine Mother. This mala is knotted, providing a space between the beads to allow one to be held at a time for the spiritual practice of japa.
Intention: Meditation, feminine energy.

How to use: Sit cross-legged in a meditative place and starting with the bead next to the sumeru (the largest bead often with a tassel), holding it with your right thumb and middle finger. Do not touch the sumeru, the 109th bead. Gently roll the bead back and forth while saying the provided mantra, drawing your attention to the feel of the bead and the sound of the mantra. Do this on each of the 108 beads to complete a round. Do as many rounds as are desired or instructed.
